About Adrian Anderson | Photographers in Godalming.

I am a freelance photographer based in Surrey, United Kingdom. My interests include portraiture, travel and wildlife photography and my speciality of time lapse video.

My projects always work on an individual basis, working around the client’s needs.  I believe a collaborative approach is always best to get the most compelling and meaningful images. My studio is small but well equipped and gives the choice of shooting in a very controlled setting, or working on location using natural light or my portable lighting system.

I also offer print sales of high quality from my own personal photographic projects, which can be ordered from the galleries.

My photography has taken me all over the world, from the Arctic Circle, to Southern Africa and from the West Coast of the US to the Far East and Australia. I have photographed a number of well-known people, including Buzz Aldrin, one of the first men on the moon. Travel is in my blood and I am always happy with my camera on my back and a project in mind.

I shoot digitally in the main, but also with medium format film cameras.  I process my own films and print on high quality archival paper using alternative processes including Platinum/Palladium and Cyanotype. I also process my own digital images and usually have a professional lab manufacture my prints and wall art for maximum quality and choice.

One of my favourite things to shoot is a time lapse sequence. Sunrises and sunsets and the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) are my favourite subjects and I can supply high quality video clips and stock photography for your projects.

My photographic path began over 30 years ago, with a compact film camera my parents bought me when I was about 8 years old.  With little creative control over the images, I was always disappointed with the results.  This changed aged 14 when I saved up and bought my first proper camera, an Olympus OM10. This changed my view of photography and I was hooked.  Developing my own images in my Grandfather’s darkroom and then taking on the new technology of digital, my photography progressed and became a serious endeavour. My photography kit now is based on the Canon EOS system, with exceptional  Canon L series and Sigma ART lenses.
